Two Hindi Beginner Courses starting 24. April, 2024

In this course, we will start by learning the Devanagari script alphabet and work on the pronunciation of whole words and sentences. An initial insight into basic grammar will be provided. We will apply and practice what we have learned through language games. By the end of the course, we will be able to introduce ourselves in Hindi and read basic texts. Active and regular participation in class is required.

Course 1:  Wednesdays and Fridays 9:00 to 10:30 AM starting April 24, 2024 Duration: 12 sessions Cost: 150 euros

Course 2:  every Sunday 9:00 to 10:30 AM starting April 28, 2024 Duration: 12 sessions Cost: 150 euros

Course Instructor: Anjana Singh

Mrs. Anjana Singh is a social thinker, an ambassador of Indo-German cultural exchange, an entrepreneur, and a Hindi lecturer, living in Berlin for more than 28 years.

She arrived in Berlin in 1993 and one of the first things she did was learn the German language. During her days as a sociology student at the Technical University (TU) Berlin in 2001, she came across a demand for Hindi language teachers in Berlin. She joined this initiative as a Hindi lecturer. Since then, she has taught Hindi to more than 4000 German nationals, at Freie University and TU in Berlin, the University of Wuppertal, at the Embassy of India in Berlin, and through many private and public sector engagements with individuals who wish to learn Hindi for work, travel, or out of interest.

Currently, she conducts Hindi language classes at the Federal Foreign Office, Government of Germany, and TU Berlin.
