Berlin's Tempelhofer hosts kite-flying festival

The seventh giant kite festival in Berlin: Squids with meter-long legs and huge geckos in bright colors: at unique specimens up to 40 meters long will provide a flight spectacle over Tempelhofer Feld.

A wide field, hardly any trees and always enough wind speed - the largest open space in Berlin, in the middle of the city, is an ideal place for kite flying. The wind can pick up speed on this flat level, which is why the field is suitable for kite flying not only in autumn.

 You can always see a colorful crowd of windsurfers and kite enthusiasts.
