Event details
In 1997 the first pumpkin exhibition took place at the Juckerhof in Seegräben. Three years later, the Jucker brothers Martin and Beat Jucker brought the pumpkin exhibition to the Blühendes Barock in Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart. Since then, the "biggest pumpkin exhibition in the world" has been held there every year.
Every year there is a new theme for the pumpkin exhibition. This year sees an underwater theme taking form. Various events also take place during the season, such as the European and German pumpkin weigh-in championships.
The pumpkin festival offers a full schedule of events, including pumpkin gastronomy, artistic carving including lanterns and sculptures, pumpkin variety shows, pumpkin weigh-offs and even a pumpkin slaughter event. The Pumpkin Festival in Ludwigsburg promises a full day of fun for the whole family, with different events and activities for all ages.
